The Owls Are Not What They Seem

Meet my new favorite peek-a-boo skull and owl T-shirt! It may seem like just another bad ass graphic top to you, but for me it’s a T-shirt with a special story. The owl and skull illustration that is printed on the tank top is the work of my absolute favorite artist, which also happens to be my boyfriend so yes, this post is a shameless plug.  Although he generally creates way darker and more complex compositions (as you can see on his page), he accepted my challenge to create a simple design for a T-shirt I could wear with basically anything in my wardrobe. (That is really a nicer way to say I kept nagging him until he told me “Baby, owl do anything for love” so yeah, that happened.) All I knew was that I wanted an owl and a skull and what I got in return was this drawing that almost reminds me of a steampunk piece of jewelry. It’s wicked but cute at the same time and I’m planning on wearing it until the print fades out.
The design is uploaded at T-shirt Factory so you can get one too if you like it. Go ahead! Buy a bunch and help us fund our vices!

This month I also got stuck with this crazy idea in my head that I should dye my hair blonde again. After I stopped dyeing my hair more than a year ago and also got it cut short so that I had 100% natural hair color, now I went on a limb and got a blonde ombre without thinking too much about it. To be honest I am not extremely pleased with the result because I wanted a completely different shade of blonde but there aren’t really any good hairstylists in my town that know how to dye, style and cut super fine and thin hair like mine. So I figured that if I’m not pleased with the color anyway I should just fulfill my childhood hair fantasies and get some crazy colors that are also super trendy right now. That means you are about to see me soon with “crazy lady” purple hair and also bright red and pink because the dye is semipermanent and why the hell not?

And yeah, this is my brace-face smile, just to prove that I’m metal to the core!

Wow, I absolutely love your outfit! čśÇ
Your sneakers look so cute, I really like them.
Do you wear them without socks?

Thank you Jul! The sneakers-socks situation is like this: I usually like to wear them without socks because I feel the leather ones are more comfortable for me that way. But if I know I’ll wear them all day long then I wear them with low cut socks. čÖé

The T-shirt is not really my style, but I have to appreciate the original design! It’s really nice and suits your personality perfectly!

Thanks! You’re right, the design is for an alternative dark niche, one that is very poorly represented when it comes to women’s clothing. The best part is that it’s very unlikely I’ll run into somebody with a T-shirt just like mine. :))

But… what if he will sell that art piece for millions and it will become a super popular design :p? Eh… bine-ar fi! (a se citi cu accent ardelensc)
